Late Rally by Fighting Dachsunds Secures Win
The Fighting Dachsunds faced a stiff challenge from Houston pitcher Mike Owens, but persevered to claim a win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The final score was 4-1. Owens went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Their 37-43 record puts the Fighting Dachsunds 7th in the Silver AAA.

In the bottom of the 8th, third baseman Ed Adams gave Ellenburg the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Fighting Dachsunds had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out double off Houston pitcher Dan Hobbs changed that -- and Ellenburg went on to win.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Adams.
