Patriots Win at Buckhead, 6-2

The Boston Patriots beat the Buckhead Bowties, 6-2, at Buckhead Grounds. The Patriots got a fine performance from second baseman Ki-tak Im, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jorge Aguirre earned the win for Boston. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. Jesús Caldero locked down his 1st save.
Im came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With the score 2-0 in the top of the fifth and one down, Im hit a first pitch cutter for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season -- and a big reason the Patriots managed to win.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Im told the Boston Bulletin. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
The loss drops Buckhead to 1-5.
