It was a fun time at Houston Park, where the Augusta Timber Hawks and Houston BC tangled.
The Houston BC picked up a win at Houston Park, knocking off the Augusta Timber Hawks, 4-3. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Millard Taylor, who played a pivotal role in the win. Katsuyoshi Takuda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for Jim Unknown, the 30-year old left fielder . Unknown contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning to put Houston up, 4-3.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Houston manager Yoshifumi Kamuta.
The 4th-place Timber Hawks have lost 6 consecutive games.
