Thundercats Come Up Short at Oakland
It was a fun time at Oakland Coliseum, where the Richardson City Thundercats and Oakland Oaks tangled.

Oakland Oaks starter José Reyna was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Richardson City Thundercats, 5-3. Reyna was the winning pitcher and moves to 7-1. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk.

In the bottom of the fifth, Oakland catcher Edwin Church had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Church stroked a 2-run home run to right-center. It made the score 4-1, Oakland. For the game, he went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Richardson City manager Imran Kopitar.

Oakland, now 28-27, holds 5th place in the Division I.
