Drummers Sneak Past Hotspur Reserves, 4-3
|
The Tortolita Drummers did just enough to sneak past the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 4-3, at Thunderbirds Stadium. Tortolita pitcher Michael Logan earned player of the game honors. Tortolita reliever Mike Desmond was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Adam Garrison took the loss for Phoenix. Pedro Figueroa closed it out for his 2nd save.
Tortolita took a 4-3 lead on Adrián Franco's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Phoenix pitcher Adam Garrison in the top of the ninth.
"It was a solid team effort," said Franco after the game.
Tortolita is 23-27 and Phoenix, with the loss, 35-15.
