Great Lakers Take Tight Tilt
|
Pure Michigan beat Houston at Lansing Park, eking out a 4-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher José López, who earned player of the game honors. Esteban Ruíz nailed down his 2nd save. The Great Lakers improve their record to 21-28 with the win over Houston.
Also producing for Pure Michigan was catcher Ramiro Gonzáles, who stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Gonzáles was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
Houston manager Yoshifumi Kamuta said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
