Patriots Take Down Piranhas, 5-3
|
Boston Patriots starter Jorge Aguirre was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Panama City Piranhas, 5-3. Aguirre, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing 3 earned runs. Boston, at 32-23, occupies third place in the Division I.
Ki-tak Im, who is tied for 7th in the PL in RBI with 31, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a double.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
