The Gryfindor Braves scored a 6-5 win versus the Augusta Timber Hawks at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Gryfindor pitcher George Armstrong nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Armstrong was the winning pitcher and moves to 6-2. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Earning his 1st save for Gryfindor was Jim Unknown.

Also contributing to the win was catcher Bob McNeil, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth for Gryfindor. For the game, McNeil went 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," McNeil told the Gryfindor Chronicle.

The Braves saw their win-loss record go to 34-11. At the same time, the Timber Hawks fall to 13-32.
