Braves Bump Off Timber Hawks, 8-4

The Gryfindor Braves beat the Augusta Timber Hawks, 8-4, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Bob McNeil, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The first-place Timber Hawks have dropped 4 straight games.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh, when McNeil got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Braves went on to win.
In comments to the Gryfindor Chronicle, McNeil admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
