Braves Get One-Run Win at Augusta
|
The Gryfindor Braves scored a 2-1 win versus the Augusta Timber Hawks at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Gryfindor pitcher Gabe Stephenson nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Jim Unknown locked down his 1st save. The Braves, at 32-11, lead by one game in their division.
Arturo Romero was a key contributor to the win for the Braves. In the top of the first with two out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to center. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Romero, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
