The Houston BC did just enough to sneak past the Tortolita Drummers, 5-2, at Houston Park. Houston third baseman Albert Delgado earned player of the game honors. With the win, Houston has a record of 22-18. Tortolita falls to 16-24.
Delgado had a game-changing single in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Stanley Neal, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the BC a 3-2 lead. It was the 36th hit of the year for Delgado.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Delgado said after the game.
