Oaks Drop Another One
Tony Romero left his imprint on the 7-5 D.C. win against the Oakland Oaks. Romero, who is tied for 7th in the PL in stolen bases with 11, was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Domingo Posadas picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Júlio Saldaña was tagged with the loss. Gabriel Hidalgo closed the door for D.C., picking up his 15th save of the year.

D.C. took a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Charles Mathes hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Divided fans to their feet.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Romero.

Oakland has now lost 5 straight.
