Drummers Get 5-4 Win Versus Augusta
|
Tortolita Drummers starter Ricky Jackson turned in a competent performance against the Augusta Timber Hawks at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Jeff Cox earned the save for Tortolita, his 1st of the year. The 9th-place Drummers improved to 9-18.
Tied up with the Timber Hawks in the top of the fourth, the Drummers got a boost from second baseman Gonzalo Féliz. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Féliz saw a 1-2 fastball from Luis Zaragoza and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Tortolita on top, 2-1.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Jackson.
