Hernández hits 2 home runs as Drummers Squeeze Past Phoenix
|
The Tortolita Drummers eeked out a 8-4 win versus the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Drummers Ballpark. Nobody did more than catcher Álex Hernández, who captured player of the game honors. Harold Taylor was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Drummers go to 6-16, putting them last in the Silver AAA.
In the bottom of the third inning, left fielder Stephen Blair came through big-time for the Drummers. With Tortolita trailing 4-0, he belted a grand slam home run.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Blair said after the game.
