Schmitt Delivers Walk-Off Win for Braves
The Gryfindor Braves did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Augusta Timber Hawks at Cayuse Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Gabe Stephenson, who captured player of the game honors. Gryfindor reliever Juan Cantú picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Darren Garland took the loss. Gryfindor, now 16-4, is playing great baseball to start the year.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Jack Schmitt had a chance to end it. Augusta pitcher Ben Fleming had other ideas. But with two outs, Schmitt drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Braves had the walk-off win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Schmitt. "It was a great win."
