Braves Reel Off Another Win
|
Benefiting from the performance of Emílio Gonzáles, the Gryfindor Braves defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Gonzáles went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Braves. Gryfindor reliever Francis Cahill got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Mike Desmond was tagged with the loss. Tortolita, at 2-12, has had a dismal start to the season.
Gryfindor took the lead in the bottom of the eighth when Gonzáles hit a run-scoring single. His 21st hit made the score 4-3, Gryfindor.
"I like the roll we're on," said Gryfindor manager Jorge Garza.
