|
The Alloway Halberds grabbed a 6-4 win over the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Alloway right fielder Jarred Morgan went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Carlos Hernández got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. Picking up the save was Denny Marshall, his 3rd.
Morgan went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once against the Fighting Dachsunds. With the game tied in the top of the fourth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that scored 1 and put Alloway in front, 4-3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Morgan after the game.
The Halberds raised their record to 7-6.
