Retrievers Drop Another One
The Boston Patriots did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Northern Virginia Retrievers at Ballpark of Northern Virginia. Nobody did more than pitcher Bruce Wright, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Wright, now 5-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. Kyung-un Yi earned the save for Boston, his 4th.

Boston took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Ki-tak Im hit a 3-run home run to make it 5-2, Patriots.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Wright said after the game.

The second-place Retrievers have dropped 5 straight games.
