Sánchez Leads Sun Caps to Win over Men
|
The Jersey City Sun Caps and Florida Men obliged those fans who came to Psychos Ballpark looking for a good time.
With second baseman Roberto Sánchez leading the charge, the Jersey City Sun Caps defeated the Florida Men, 13-5, at Psychos Ballpark. Sánchez, who is rated as the 41st best prospect by BNN, was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Jersey City, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
South Huntington, New York-born Jake Richardson came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded and the Sun Caps trailing 3-2, he hit a bases-clearing double to right to put Jersey City on top.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Sánchez.
