BC Beat Youth, 5-4
|
San Antonio BC starter Bryan Palmer was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Phoenix Hotspur Youth, 5-4. Palmer got the win, improving to 5-10. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. Palmer allowed 2 earned runs. Miguel Jiménez locked down his 1st save.
Tied up with the Youth in the top of the fifth, the BC got a boost from center fielder George Zeek. With a runner on 2nd, Zeek saw a first pitch forkball from Titus Parson and hit a run-scoring double to break the stalemate and put San Antonio on top, 3-2.
"We had a good game plan," Palmer said, "and we were able to execute it."
San Antonio is last in the Silver AA with a record of 22-55.
