Great Day for Ramos in Grey Wolves Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the 24-year old first baseman José Carlos Ramos helped the Vancouver Grey Wolves beat the Richardson City Thundercats, 8-3. George Frazier got the win, improving to 4-4. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. David Hudson finished the game for Vancouver and earned his 15th save.
Ramos had a game-changing home run in the top of the first. On a first pitch curveball from Alec Pittman, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Grey Wolves a 4-0 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Ramos.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Ramos said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
The Grey Wolves improved to 24-21.
