Oaks Get 5-2 Win Versus Boston
The Oakland Oaks defeated the Boston Patriots, 5-2, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Oakland shortstop Micah Coffey was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Kent Clement earned the win to go to 6-4. He allowed 1 earned run on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Oakland is now 24-21, Boston 26-19.

Mal Wadley also delivered for the Oaks. The veteran left fielder belted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. The longball put Oakland on top, 5-1. Overall, Wadley was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
