The Durham Rapiers got a strong performance from pitcher Francisco Martínez, who stymied the San Antonio offense en route to a 3-1 win at Rapiers Ballpark. The Rapiers bumped their record to 26-26 with this latest triumph.

Jesús Martínez was a key contributor to the win for the Rapiers. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a double to right. He went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We put together a nice win," Martínez said.
