The Little Caesars Hot N Readys racked up a win at The Pizza Oven, bumping off the Myrtle Beach Mermen, 5-3. Sam Groves, who started for Little Caesars, pitched effectively for his team. Ciríaco Muro earned his 5th save in 5 tries. The Hot N Readys go to 26-26, putting them 8th in the Silver AA.

Little Caesars took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Mo Zhou hit a clutch solo home run to bring Hot N Readys fans to their feet.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Groves. "Successful pitchers do it."
