There was no shortage of dramatics at Tennille Grounds today.
The Mermen had to overcome a good performance from Phoenix Hotspur pitcher Miguel Aguilar to claim a 4-3 win at Tennille Grounds. Aguilar went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Myrtle Beach has 3 straight wins, Phoenix Hotspur 3 straight losses.
Javier Robles was the walk-off hero for Myrtle Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Myrtle Beach second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Robles told the Myrtle Beach Gazette.
