Rawhides Win at Durham, 8-2
|
Benefiting from Hugo Rampley's productive game, the Belvedere Park Rawhides downed the Durham Rapiers, 8-2. Rampley went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rawhides. Seishiro Sato, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-1. The third-place Rawhides now have a win-loss record of 24-18.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the first, when Rampley hit a run-scoring single. The Rawhides went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rampley told the Belvedere Park Bulletin.
