Hot N Readys Deal BC Painful Loss
|
The Hot N Readys had to overcome a fine effort from San Antonio pitcher Bryan Palmer to grab a 4-3 win at The Pizza Oven. Palmer went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Little Caesars reliever Carlos Vargas picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Derek Holbrook was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Little Caesars sits at 20-21, while San Antonio falls to 12-29.
Mike Barton was the walk-off hero for Little Caesars. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Little Caesars catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Barton.
