Divided Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Retrievers
The Divided had to overcome a good performance from Northern Virginia pitcher Lou Hartling to claim a 3-2 win at Washington Stadium. Hartling went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Gabriel Hidalgo, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. The Divided bumped their record to 26-17 with this latest triumph.

Charles Mathes was the walk-off hero for D.C.. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the D.C. center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I was a little disappointed," said Northern Virginia manager David Lenlister. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
