Seawolves Come Back Late to Clip BC
|
The Long Island Seawolves got a strong performance from pitcher Jim Unknown, who stymied the San Antonio offense en route to a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Remsen. The 8th-place Seawolves are now 18-21, the BC 12-27.
Tim Taylor was the walk-off hero for Long Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Long Island catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Unknown told the Long Island Observer: "I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more.' You win just by scoring more runs."
