The Brinkley Belugas beat the Hialeah Dodos, 10-4, at Belugas Ballpark. Brinkley third baseman Brandon Cole earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Raúl Luna, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 9-7. Steven Jones notched his 2nd save in 5 chances.
Also having an impact was right fielder Steve Jones, who stroked a bases-clearing triple in the bottom of the fifth for Brinkley. For the game, Jones was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
