Belugas Rally to Eke Out Win
With shortstop Arnold Giroux leading the charge, the Brinkley Belugas defeated the Hialeah Dodos, 9-7, at Dodos Ballpark. Giroux was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Brinkley reliever Dan McBride picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. The Belugas own a robust 51-49 mark.

Manny Carbajal's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Jim Unknown for a 2-run single. It put Brinkley in front, 9-7.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Carbajal, "but we really needed that win."
