Retrievers Fall to Grey Wolves, 9-2
The Vancouver Grey Wolves picked up a win at Ballpark of Northern Virginia, knocking off the Northern Virginia Retrievers, 9-2. On the mound for Vancouver was right-hander Nelle Liefting, who played a pivotal role in the win. Vancouver now sits at 20-18, while Northern Virginia falls to 13-25.

Also producing for Vancouver was second baseman Danny Walsh, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third. For the game, Walsh went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Vancouver Grey Wolves manager David Krause.
