Walk-Off Seals 49th Victory for Golden Cranes
|
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win at Crane Field today.
The Brinkley Belugas wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Myles Wilkerson, falling 2-1 to the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Crane Field. Santa Barbara reliever Armando Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Ramón García absorbed the loss.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 1-1, first baseman Gilbert Graham won it for Santa Barbara. With the bases empty, Graham hit a 1-2 fastball from Ramón García for a solo home run, giving his team a 2-1 win.
After the game, Santa Barbara manager Mark Harrison applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The Belugas, now 47-43, have lost 5 straight.
