|
The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Dunkin Donuts Park, knocking off the Buckhead Bowties, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bruce Wright was an essential part of his team's success. The third-place Patriots improved to 20-17.
Also contributing to the win was right fielder Karl Schultz, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth for Boston. For the game, Schultz went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI.
"I was a little disappointed," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
