Vermont starter Wally Copeland pitched effectively against the Scranton Supernovas at Nuclear Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Jim Unknown closed the door for Vermont, picking up his 1st save of the year. Today's win puts Vermont at 53-33, while Scranton falls to 53-33.

Also contributing to the win was left fielder Domenic Gallard, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the first for Vermont. For the game, Gallard went 1 for 4.
