Hialeah wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Sexto Rodríguez, losing to Brinkley, 2-1, at Belugas Ballpark. The winner was Brinkley reliever Ramón García, now 3-2. The loser was Travis Grant. The Belugas own a robust 47-38 mark.

Brinkley won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when first baseman Randy Tucker hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Belugas fans to their feet.
