Sioux Falls Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
Riley Breckenridge pitched a gem to lead Wilmington to a 5-0 victory over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Breckenridge, now 5-9, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. The last-place Bay Hawks are now 25-48, the Red Pandas 29-44.
Brad Lawrence didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Wilmington on top, 2-0.
Breckenridge told a Wilmington Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
