Longnecks Topple Buzz with Late Rally
|
The Bloomington Longnecks topped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 6-5, with Darrell Terwey playing a big role. Terwey went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Longnecks in the win. With the victory, the Longnecks record now stands at 37-36.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Terwey. Facing Jim Unknown with runners on 1st and 3rd, the Bloomington center fielder had a run-scoring single. Game over, walk-off style!
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Terwey told the Bloomington Times.
