Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Disaster
For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.

The Port Royal Disaster beat the Bloomington Longnecks, 6-5, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Port Royal designated hitter David Verhoeve earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-6 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Port Royal reliever Aukukero Mincarlie Jr. picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. John Watson was saddled with the loss.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Port Royal trailing 5-4, Verhoeve hit a slider from John Watson for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Disaster had a walk-off win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Bloomington manager Juan Pliego. "But we decided not to take it."
