Piranhas Suffer 3-1 Loss to Grey Wolves
|
In a well-pitched game between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and the Panama City Piranhas, pitcher George Frazier was superb. The Vancouver right-hander was named the player of the game in Vancouver's 3-1 win. Frazier got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. Frazier allowed 1 earned run. The Grey Wolves have now won 4 straight.
Travis Newsome's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Grey Wolves. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and Vancouver trailing 1-0, the second baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Frazier said.
