Begay Leads Hialeah Past Scranton
|
The Hialeah Dodos got a magnificent performance from pitcher Lucas Begay, who muffled the Scranton offense en route to a tight 3-0 Dodos win at Nuclear Stadium. Jim Unknown closed the door for Hialeah, picking up his 1st save of the year. The Hialeah Dodos have an impressive 36-21 record.
Begay, a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, was dealing all game. He kept Scranton hitters off-balance, while giving the Dodos 8 quality innings. Begay threw 118 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 3.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Begay said.
