The Salt Lake City Buzz knocked off the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-3, at Lookouts Ballpark. Jack Davis, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Salt Lake City won. The catcher was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Horace McKenzie, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 4-3. At 23-34, the Buzz find themselves in 10th place in the Menard's AAA.
Salt Lake City took the lead in the top of the fifth when Davis hit a 2-run home run. His 1st home run made the score 4-2, Salt Lake City.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a pretty good chance to win the game," said Davis.
