Longnecks Come Up Short at Hamilton
Hamilton pitcher Earl Brown did his part in helping his team beat the Bloomington Longnecks, 8-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bill Washington was credited with the save for Hamilton, his 1st of the season. Their 22-32 record puts the Coyotes 9th in the Menard's AAA.

In the bottom of the 5th, Hamilton took the lead on a 2-run single by Dan Bernard. At the time, the Coyotes were trailing 3-2, but Bernard's hit with two outs against Bloomington pitcher Dustin Richmond put them in front, 4-3.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Bernard.
