Golden Cranes Suffer 4-3 Setback
|
The Hialeah Dodos had to overcome a big game from Santa Barbara left fielder Rubén Campos to leave Crane Field with a 4-3 victory. Campos belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Santiago Maes earned the save, his 6th, for the Dodos. Santa Barbara has now lost 4 in a row.
The Dodos took the lead in the top of the third when Bill Griffin banged a two-out home run. Hialeah had been trailing 2-0, but Griffin hit a full count fastball from Alex Simmons for a 3-run home run.
"It feels good to get that win," said Griffin. "Now it's on to the next one."
