Red Pandas Go Down to Defeat, 6-4
|
Armando Becerra did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sioux Falls Red Pandas from losing, 6-4, to the Bloomington Longnecks at Lookouts Ballpark. Becerra was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jim Unknown earned the save for Bloomington, his 1st of the year. With the win, the Longnecks have a record of 25-20.
It could have been a different outcome for Bloomington, had it not been for Ethan Miller, the 25-year old catcher . Miller contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Bloomington up, 3-2.
"They played a better game than we did," said Sioux Falls skipper Curtis Lee.
