Getting a good performance from shortstop Frank Wentworth, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Scranton Supernovas, 5-3. Wentworth was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Red Pandas. The win was credited to Jesús Díaz in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Victor Brey took the loss. Guillermo Pérez earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 1st.

Also having an impact was right fielder David Morales, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth for Sioux Falls. For the game, Morales went 1 for 3.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Morales told the Sioux Falls Observer.
