Eler 5-for-5 Against Bowties
|
Richardson City Thundercats designated hitter Terrence Eler had a day to remember at Buckhead Grounds today, ripping apart the Buckhead Bowties and sparking the Thundercats to a 12-0 victory.
Eler wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Eler told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
Terrence Eler singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Joshua Long in the 9th.
Currently Eler is batting .237 with 23 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 16 runs and scored 14 times.
