Supernovas Win Thriller, 1-0
|
Scranton used a superb performance from starting pitcher Sammy Nash to down the Hamilton Coyotes, 1-0. Bernardo Valdés picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. John Riggleman was tagged with the loss. The first-place Coyotes have dropped 5 straight games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th. That's when Scranton pinch hitter Henrique Shearman, facing John Riggleman, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Supernovas the 1-0 win.
Shearman called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
