Port Royal right fielder José Martínez had a terrific game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Santa Barbara beat the Disaster, 6-4. Martínez was named the player of the game despite the loss. The winner was Santa Barbara reliever Nick Taylor, now 1-1. The loser was Dennis Brown. Santa Barbara has now won 3 in a row.

The Santa Barbara triumph was a team effort. It included several important contributors, Logan Manning not least among them. In the bottom of the second, the Santa Barbara catcher came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 3-1 lead.

Manning told a Santa Barbara News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
