The Brinkley Belugas beat the Wilmington Bay Hawks, 9-4, at Ballpark of Wilmington. Randy Tucker was recognized as player of the game for his performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. The 25-year old center fielder was a menace to Wilmington all day. Brinkley starter Chae-seong Kim was credited with the win after throwing 98 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. Brinkley currently is in 6th place in the Menard's AAA at 17-19.
Brinkley took the lead in the top of the third on a big hit from Reggie Kahn. On a 2-0 cutter from Drake Riley, Kahn hit a run-scoring single. That made it 1-0, Belugas. For the day, Kahn was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"What a game," said Tucker. "We needed every last run."
